What Half-a-Century Has Taught Me (2)
Give people space—and most importantly—acceptance in all their dysfunction, stupidity, and addictions.

Spiritualist Anthony De Mello says…
I’m an ass, you’re an ass. That’s the most liberating thing in the world. When people tell me, “You’re wrong.” I say, “What can you expect from an ass?”

Nice quote. Reminds me of one Philip Yancey shares in What's So Amazing About Grace? Yancey is quoting someone else, I believe, but the quote is: "We're all bastards but God loves us anyway." I wish I could use that quote with my youth group but I know some of them would be offended, while others would tell their parents that it was OK for them to swear because Andrew does it in youth group. :)
