Purpose of the Christian Life?

The purpose of the Christian life is not about how good I am or how well I’m liked. Neither is it about abstinence or moderation. It’s not about whether I drink or don’t drink; whether I cuss or don’t cuss. Understand, I advocate none of the above; I have my own personal convictions and so should you.

My point—many of us have confused the expression of a lifestyle with its purpose.

Fred, I agree with your point. Jesus would say we are too worried about the outside. We are working on the outside when we should be changing the inside.

The lifestyle will come naturally, or supernaturally, as our convictions change with the change inside. The outside will change, and be authentic when the inside is changed first.

Here is the problem. If we scream loud enough about the outside, not only do others not see the inside, we don't see our own unchanged(missed the mark) insides.
