Creative Missional Engagement (1)

I’m always contemplating creative ways to engage our culture. I’ve found others who are doing the same.
How about redemptive parties?

If you have a few examples of creative missional engagement drop me a comment here and I’ll post your idea.

we often have no limit texas holdem poker parties ... awesome bang for a 10 dollar buy in and up to 5 hours of non stop fun and community ... and a chance to even take home a few bucks to boot ... we had 20 people at our house last sunday night from 6-11 pm ... and most do not attend any church regularly ... this sun night we will be meeting at a resturant to play and have had up to 87 people show up there and that party is sponsored by my church

During Christmas time, Barnes and Noble lets groups come in and perform gift wrapping. Why not set up to do that and take $50 or so and pay for peoples purchases or gift wraps until money is gone.

Something else some friends of mine have done is to go out on Christmas Eve to business that are open and deliver gift baskets with things to make a probably lonely and depressing christmas eve at work go a little bit faster. Reminding people of the love of Christ who Christmas was named for.
